Product Updates

Announcing our Summer ’16 Release – Chiefofstaff.com Version 2.03.01

The just-released update to Chiefofstaff.com includes a host of useful new features and enhancements designed to improve your user experience.

We continue to improve the functionality as well as the look and feel of Chiefofstaff.com in response to your welcome feedback.

What’s New for Users?

  • “Weighted” Initiatives. You know that some of your Initiatives can have a greater impact on Strategic Plan success than others. Now, should you choose, you can account for the relative importance of your Initiatives by assigning each of them a weighting factor of 1×, 2× or 3×. Driver and Priority heat maps are now viewable side by side with both “weighted” and “unweighted” traffic light status, providing another useful, intuitive visual guide to Performance vs. Plan.
  • Initiative Column Headings Remain in Plain View. Tired of scrolling up and down through a long list of Initiatives just to remind yourself of what each column represents? Now when you scroll down, the Column Headings remain locked to the top of your screen.

What’s New for Administrators?

  • Cropping and Resizing of 1st Level Driver Dashboard Images. You have the perfect picture but it’s the wrong aspect ratio and it’s too large. Now, instead of having to crop and resize the image in a third-party application, you can click and drag to select the exact portion of the image you want to appear on your dashboard. Hit “save” and Chiefofstaff.com does the cropping and resizing for you.
  • More Rich Text Formatting. Add an extra level of customization to your login page and dashboard with a full-featured RTF editor. Plus, Assigned Users can use the same RTF editor to customize the “Overview” and “Issues” sections of the Summary reports they’ve been made owners of.

What action do I need to take?
As always, none! These product enhancements are available now as part of your subscription to Chiefofstaff.com at no additional cost. Your Chiefofstaff.com Consultant Administrator will be contacting you in the next few days to ensure that you are able to get the most out of these new features.

Not seeing these new features? How to clear your browser cache memory.

Sometimes your Internet browser uses stored information to build the page. When you’re not seeing just what you’re expecting following an update to Chiefofstaff.com, just clear your browser cache memory. In Windows, that’s CTRL + F5. In Mac, it’s CMD + R.

Thank you for continuing to count on Chiefofstaff.com® to help you operationalize your organization’s strategic plan. Your satisfaction remains our Number 1 Priority.

Now Available – Chiefofstaff.com Version 2.03

Chiefofstaff.com has just released the latest version of our software with many new features and enhancements.
We continue to improve the functionality as well as the look and feel of Chiefofstaff.com in response to your welcome feedback.

What’s New for Users?

The “My Initiatives” view has been significantly enhanced. Users now have their own heat map showing the status of just their assigned Initiatives. Just as in Summary and Priorities view, they can select any slice of the pie to filter their Initiatives by Status. Columns have also been added to show when Initiatives are due for completion and when their status was last updated. Just click on the column headings to sort by date.

The “Priorities by Drivers” Standard Report has been completely reformatted to make it much easier to read.

What’s New for Administrators?

The bottom panel on your Dashboard is now fully customizable. Administrators are free to populate the three panel sections with information designed to make your Chiefofstaff.com instance unique to your organization.

Administrators can now easily change the order in which your 2nd and 3rd Level Organizations appear simply by “dragging and dropping” in Admin View.

Similarly, you can now “drag and drop” to reorder your enterprise’s Locations.

Now when you restore a deleted User, the default status is Inactive. You choose when to Activate the User’s account.

In addition to these visible changes, Version 2.03 incorporates a number of upgrades to our application framework, resulting in faster page loading and even greater reliability.

Version 2.0 has arrived.

We are pleased to announce the release of Chiefofstaff.com version 2.0 this Thursday, July 30th.

What is New?
Version 2.0 offers a new level of communication and collaboration to your organization, with great social media features and new reports:

  • Social Interaction

Chiefofstaff.com now lets you create your own User Profile. Add a photo. Include your title, department, location, supervisor’s name, and phone numbers.

Search for other Chiefofstaff.com Users and see their profiles.

Write an email. Chiefofstaff.com now interfaces with your email client. Click on a User’s email address to open up a new message.

  • Reports

Now you can view a Heat Map of performance for your entire Organization – not just an individual 1st Level Driver. Simply click on the Summary tab.

All of your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Level Organizations and all of their 1st Level Drivers can be associated with an individual User who is able to enter and edit the Overview and Issues narrative.

We’ve created an all-new Report interface that includes the ability to create and save your own Custom Reports.  Choose Standard Reports to run any of the reports you’re already familiar with. Or select Custom Reports and build a report that captures exactly the information you’re looking for. Once done Generating your Custom Report, click the Save As button, name your report, and store it just for your personal use (Private Report) or make it available for anyone in your Organization (Public Report) to run.

  • Client Administrator Tools

Now Client Administrators can view your site from the perspective of any of your Users.

Client Administrators can now remove a person from the list of Users and simultaneously reassign open Initiatives to other Users. These removed Users can be restored at any time.

Client Administrators can now upload custom Driver images on their own.

  • System Performance

We’ve made a number of “behind the scenes” changes to improve navigation and system performance – things we are sure will improve your experience.

We’ve also standardized the nomenclature throughout Chiefofstaff.com to make it consistent with the way you do business. “Subdrivers” are now “Initiatives” and “Assigned Priorities” are now “My Initiatives.”

As always, none! These enhancements and new features are available to you as part of your subscription to Chiefofstaff.com at no additional cost. The latest update to our software available as of May 22nd.

What is New?
Chiefofstaff.com has added several enhancements and new features to increase the flexibility and utility of our product to your organization, among them:

Once a Subdriver has been completed, its colored status flag changes shape from a filled circle to a check mark.

A fourth color – Blue – has been added to heat maps, representing completed Subdrivers. Clicking on the blue field generates a list of only completed Subdrivers.

Now, clicking on green, yellow, and red heat map fields generates a list of just those Subdrivers that are still open.

Priority tags have been added to Subdriver cells.

Scroll bars now appear in individual Subdriver cells containing extended information so users no longer have to scroll the entire web page to view a complete Subdriver record.

In Client Administrator mode, 3rd Level Drivers appear in summary bars – just like 1st and 2nd Level Drivers – which can be expanded to view Subdrivers.

The order in which 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Level Drivers and 3rd Level Subdrivers appear can be changed by the Client Administrator with a simple click-and-drag feature.

In any view where the Plan Year Quarter is selectable from a dropdown picklist, the default value is the current Quarter.

When building a 2nd or 3rd Level Organization Plan, choosing to “Keep” 1st Level Drivers from the parent organization retains the Priority Heading and Summary of Priorities as well as the Driver image.

The “Overview” and “Issues” fields in the Summary can be customized with Rich Text Formatting.

What action do I need to take?
